Waiting for change?

Imagine this. You are at the store and when you get to the cashier she tells you that your total is $5. You hand her a $5 dollar bill and there you are standing with your hand out. The cashier looks at you and wonder's what you are waiting for. You tell her you are waiting for your change. How do you think she will respond? She is going to tell you, Why are you expecting change, when you paid the exact amount?
Often times when we face a challenge or obstacle, we give just enough of ourselves to make it through. If you give the bare minimum in anything that you do you shouldn't be surprised if you only get bare minimum results. If you want to do extraordinary things in life, you have to do extraordinary things to make that happen. Think of a goal you had set for yourself in the past and failed to accomplish. I want you to face that goal this time around with more tenacity and a sense of focus than ever before. Don't expect change when you pay the exact amount.

  1. Hello,
I really love this picture. We expect extraordinary results when we only give ordinary effort. I am really holding on to this idea of how foolish a person looks, with their hand out waiting for change, when there is no change due to them. Awesome!
